A group of up to 6 people** are trained in the principles of safe
handling. This one day is a condensed course and should only be
considered as an awareness session or an update for staff who have
been trained every year. The course assumes a reasonable amount
of existing knowledge.
In exceptional circumstances the one day course can be given to
people without previous handling training. This should only be done
in cases where the delegates are in roles where handling is the
exception rather than the norm.
Delegates receive a certificate of attendance.
**These courses have a limit of six delegates per lecture to ensure
that practical skill are properly learned. This is in accordance
with the guidance of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
